Sirince is a welcoming village, located about six kilometers away from Ephesus. Village is showing a really beautiful example of Turkish village life and local customs today. Little village is populated by six hundred inhabitants but population can go higher in the high tourism season. Sirince was founded by people who fled from Ephesus on 15th century but most of what we see today dates back to the 19th century. Original name of the Village used to be Cirkince but it was changed into Sirince in 1926.
